The odds for a new middle-high school in Williston narrowed a little this week, but local school board officials remain optimistic that a new facility will come.
Williston City Council President Jason Cason was one of 13 educators and community leaders who traveled to Tallahassee to make presentations to the state Department of Education on why a new school is needed.
Five different counties were in the running for the DOE funds, Cason said, and only the top two would receive priority consideration based on rankings.
