The July 4 theft of a truck from Maguire’s Auto Repair and power lawn equipment from Lane’s Yardware has turned into a theft-ring that crosses nine Florida counties and five states, according to Williston Police Chief Dennis Strow.
Sgt. James Bond of the Williston Police department tracked the local theft to Opalocka where he, and other law enforcement personnel discovered many stolen items at a local flea market.
Since then nine search warrants have been executed and several thousand power tools have been recovered (see photo page 12).
