The Levy County Sheriff’s Office has released information on the following arrests:
A traffic stop at a South Chiefland gas station for no tag light resulted in drug charges against two people.
According to reports, Deputy Willie Barnes arrested Jonathan Clemons, 24, of Northwest 12th Avenue, Chiefland, for possession of marijuana less than 20 grams and tampering with evidence after a search of the car in which he was riding.
Also arrested was Kjella Renee Looney, 21, of Old Town, who was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. She was a passenger in the same vehicle. Bond on Clemons was $7,500 and bond on Looney was $17,500.
Tremaine Anton McQueen, 31, of Northeast 2nd Street, Chiefland, was charged with possession of crack cocaine and sale of crack cocaine within 1000 feet of a school by the Levy County Drug Task Force, which had made a controlled drug buy with a confidential source at a shopping center parking lot across from Chiefland High School on Oct. 29, 2008. Total bond $100,000.
James Elmer Fender, 40, of Southeast 140th Avenue, Morriston, was charged with driving while license suspended or revoked after being stopped for not having a license tag on his trailer that he was pulling behind his vehicle. Bond $1,000.
Amy L. Combs, 27, of Northwest 166th Street, Fanning Springs, was charged with trespass after warning and resisting an officer without violence after an incident at the Dawg House Bar on U.S. 19.
Jerry L. Alexander, 49, of Southeast State Road 121, Morriston, was charged with grand theft auto after he allegedly took a vehicle from the mother of a friend without permission. Bond $2,500.
Timothy Neal, 22, of Northeast 3rd Street, Chiefland, was charged with robbery after he was found wearing a pair of shoes that had been taken from a victim in Bronson. Bond $10,000.
Brian W. Dilks, 24, of East Main Street, Bronson, was charged with possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana after his vehicle was stopped for driving with an expired temporary tag. Bond $5,000.
David Russell Vanbuhler, 53, of Inglis, was charged with DUI after being stopped for having a burned out tail light. Bond $1,500.
DOMESTIC ARRESTS
Arthur J. Mathis, 51, of Dunn Street, Bronson, was accused of domestic aggravated assault after an incident at his home.
George Goode, 63, of Old Town, was arrested for domestic aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and assault after an incident at the Dawg House Bar in which he allegedly tried to use his truck to strike the victim. Total bond $11,000.
John Hart, 33, of Northwest 90th Terrace, Fanning Springs, was accused of domestic battery, tampering with a victim and possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident at his home. Total bond $7,500.
John Hurbert Wood, 41, of Northeast 92nd Avenue, Bronson, was accused of domestic battery after an incident at his home. Bond $25,000.
WARRANT ARRESTS
Jethro White, 21, of Northeast 40th Street, Williston, was arrested on a Levy County warrant of violation of probation, tampering with evidence. Bond $5,000.
John William Blalock, 56, of Northeast 60th Street, Williston was arrested on a St. Lucie County warrant for violation of probation, possession of cocaine. No bond.
Thomas Fletcher burgess, 42, of Gainesville, was arrested on two Alachua County writs of bodily attachment. Total cash purge $7,500.
Jason Douglas Wetzel, 38, of Trenton, was arrested on a Levy County warrant for violation of probation, felony DUI, and violation of probation, fleeing and eluding. He was denied bond because the U.S. Marshal’s Service notified the Sheriff’s Office that he had been visiting the Virgin Islands and “should be considered a flight risk.”
Edith Stirling Teaho, 39, of Crystal River, was arrested on a Citrus County warrant for violation of probation, improper weapon. No bond.
Jerry Jasper Gore Jr., 29, of Gulf Hammock, was arrested on a Levy County warrant for failure to appear, operating while driver’s license suspended, cancelled or revoked. Released on his own recognizance.
Michael Robert Bucher, 26, of Southeast 218th Avenue, Morriston, was arrested on a Levy County warrant for violation of probation, possession of cannabis, sale of cannabis and possession of steroids. No bond.
Timothy Leon White, 25, of Southeast 21st Place, Morriston, was arrested on a Marion County warrant on three counts of grand theft. No bond.
Jesse B. Balogh, 21, of Southeast 8th Terrace, Chiefland, was arrested on an order to arrest and set bond. Bond $2,500.
Joanna Daniella Cowan, 26, of Gainesville, was arrested on a Levy County writ of bodily attachment. $900 cash purge.
Spencer Gene Davis, 43, of Southwest 8th Court, Chiefland, was arrested on a Levy County warrant for violation of probation, possession of marijuana less than 20 grams and possession of paraphernalia. No bond.
Robert Lee Patterson, 46, of Pine Street, Bronson, was arrested on a Levy County writ of bodily attachment. Cash purge $250.
Ronald Frank Coleman, 66, of Williston, was arrested on a Duval County warrant for violation of probation, schemes to defraud. No bond.
