 The following people were sentenced in Levy County courts during February:

Mersedes Janay Bowers, attempt to solicit or conspire a 1st degree felony and carjacking with weapon, nolle pros; larceny between $300-$5,000, 174 days with credit for 174 days served, 5 years probation. Must pay civil judgment, jail fund, probation cost, $4,700 restitution. 

Roger Paul Brown, battery by person detained in jail changed to battery, 84 days with credit for 84 days served; knowingly operating vehicle while license suspended, possessing paraphernalia, 180 days with credit for 180 days served on each, served concurrently. Must pay civil judgment, jail fund, $75 fines. Must pay civil judgment, $100 fine. 

Johnny Buckley, VOP on possession of firearm by felon, probation revoked, 14 days with credit for 14 days served, 1 year drug offender probation. Must pay civil judgment, jail fund, probation cost.

William Eugene Champlin, fraud by swindle under $20,000, 180 days with credit for 63 days served. Must pay civil judgment, jail fund, $100 cost of investigation, $5,860 restitution.

Suze Cleophat, fraud by uttering, larceny between $300-$5,000, nolle pros. 

James Arthur Cothron, child cruelty without great harm changed to battery, 12 months probation. Must pay probation cost.

Jason Eric Fowler, aggravated battery using deadly weapon, withdrawn. 

Shaun Thomas Girard, driving while license revoked for habitual traffic offenses, 3 days with credit for 3 days served. Must pay civil judgment, jail fund. 

Brian Douglas Groo, battery, resisting arrest without violence, 197 days with credit for 197 days served on each; child neglect without great harm, 18 months with credit for 197 days served; all served concurrently. Must pay civil judgment, jail fund. 

Edith G. Hale, burglary of occupied dwelling, 16 months with credit for 143 days served; battery, 1st degree petit larceny between $100-$300, 143 days with credit for 143 days served on each; all served concurrently. Must pay civil judgment, jail fund, $245 restitution. 

Michael Robert Hart, VOP on 3 counts of fraud by false bill or note, 3 counts of forgery, adjudication withheld, probation revoked, 270 days with credit for 134 days served on each, served concurrently. Must pay civil judgment, VOP cost, jail fund. 

Michael Vernon Hawkins, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of specified place changed to sale of controlled substance, 1 year 1 week with credit for 59 days served on each, served concurrently. Must pay civil judgment, jail fund. 

Kevin A. Hurst, VOP on sex offense against child between ages 12-15, probation terminated, required to register as sex offender. Must pay civil judgment. 

 

Farrah Tyrhonda Jackson, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, selling marijuana, nolle pros; selling cocaine within 1,000 feet of specified place changed to sale of controlled substance, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, 24 months with credit for 149 days served on each, served concurrently. Must pay civil judgment, jail fund. 

KC Dean Johns, driving while license revoked for habitual traffic offenses, 150 days with credit for 54 days served. Must pay civil judgment, jail fund, $100 fine. 

Shanda Elaine Lamb-Makatura, possession of drug paraphernalia and knowingly driving while license suspended, 17 days with credit for 17 days served; possession of cocaine, 18 months drug offender probation. Must pay civil judgment, jail fund, probation cost, $141 cost of investigation. 

Michael Wayne Maxwell, forgery, withdrawn; VOP on forgery, adjudication withheld, probation revoked, 180 days with credit for 104 days served. Must pay civil judgment, jail fund, VOP cost. 

Tammey Arnita McClain, VOP on larceny between $300-$5,000, adjudication withheld, probation revoked, 18 months drug offender probation community control. Must pay probation cost, VOP cost. 

Jeffrey Rashad Middleton, VOP on 2 counts possessing, sale of cocaine, probation terminated. Must pay all costs.

Otte Mark Pedersen, 2 counts of unlawful use of 2-way communications device,  3 counts possession of controlled substance without prescription, keeping place where illegal drugs are sold, 5 years with credit for 154 days served on each; selling opium or derivative within 1,000 feet of specified place, 6 years 6 months,, 3 years minimum mandatory, with credit for 154 days served; VOP child cruelty without great harm, adjudication withheld, probation revoked, 5 years with credit for 154 days served, all served concurrently; 2 counts of sale of controlled substance, unlawful use of 2-way communication device, possessing controlled substance without prescription, 4 counts of possessing opium or derivative, possession of paraphernalia, possession of new legend drug without prescription, nolle pros; 4 counts of sale of controlled substance,  possessing opium or derivative with intent to sell, 6 years 6 months with credit for 154 days served on each. . Must pay civil judgment, jail fund.

Jackson Wicker Plum, VOP on possessing more than 20 grams marijuana, possessing controlled substance without prescription, adjudication withheld, curfew 7 p.m.-7 a.m., 50 hours community service. Must pay probation, VOP cost. 

Latoya Evette Pringle, aggravated assault with deadly weapon without intent to kill, adjudication withheld, 62 days with credit for 62 days served, 18 months probation. Must pay probation cost, civil judgment, jail fund,  

 

Michelle Nicole Rains, VOP on possessing synthetic narcotic with intent to sell, selling synthetic narcotic, adjudication withheld, probation revoked, 270 days with credit for 2 days served on each, served concurrently. Must pay civil judgment, jail fund, VOP cost. 

David M. Rainville, battery, 1 year probation; obstructing justice by intimidating or threatening witness or informant, nolle. Must pay probation cost. 

Jamie Lynn Rodriguez, aggravated assault with deadline weapon without intent to kill, 180 days with credit for 133 days served, 3 years drug offender probation; battery, 180 days with credit for 133 days served; served concurrently. Must pay civil judgment, jail funds probation cost. 

 

Melanie Jocelyn Sakers, fraud by swindle under $20,000 and larceny between $300-$5000, adjudication withheld, 24 months probation on each, served concurrently. Must pay probation cost, $3,273.26 restitution.

Jo Ann Shaver, pre-trial intervention on possession of controlled substance without prescription; petit larceny first offense, no sentence. 

Brian Anthony Smetana, VOP on sex offense on child between 12-15 years old, reinstate probation 58 days with credit for 58 days served. Must pay civil judgment, jail fund, probation cost, VOP cost. 

 

Laura Kay Taylor, VOP on possessing cocaine changed to possessing controlled substance, probation reinstated. Must pay probation, VOP cost.
