The Log Cabin Quilters met Thursday, Sept 23 at the Levy County Quilt Museum. All the boxes of fabric, sheets, sewing-what have you-has been taken to Grace Works in High Springs and Medic Ayers Nursing home. Now we can get back to normal. We will be going to the sheriff’s jail at Gainesville to take bags of clothes to the inmates getting out of jail that have nothing to put on.
We will soon be getting ready for the quilt show that starts the day after Thanksgiving and we will be ordering ourbus from Daytona to go to the Fair in February.
This is always a fun day and we look forward to also judging in January. We look back at the year since we started the Log Cabin Quilters and the building of the Museum. So many wonderful years have passed,. Our Lord is so good to us and we look for yeas to come.
Greg and eight boys were out Tuesday to help load all the boxes as well as cleaning the Museum, mowing and all the wonderful things they do for us. Thanks, Lancaster.
Thursday lunch was enjoyed by 14 people and we had fried chicken, chicken and rice, mixed vegetables, cheese and macaroni, pear salad, macaroni salad, cupcakes, pear pie, cookies and so much more.
