Late Williston Highlands tourney official honored

A crowd of family, friends and tournament golfers gathered at Williston Highlands Golf and Country Club last Saturday to see one of their own, the late Alton Geiger, honored.

Geiger's wife Becky was presented a plaque by W.D. Hinkle of Wildwood.

The weekend event was the 40th annual Bob Mixon tournament, named after the club's first pro.

Hinkle has been responsible over the years for the advancement of the tournament.
