The Williston JV Football team led by a group of talented players raised their early season record to 2-0 as they rolled over the Wildwood Wildcats 50-20 Sept. 8 at Booster Stadium.
There was a large crowd on hand to watch the Red Devils waste little time in getting on the scoreboard early and often.
The Red Devils jumped out to a 22-6 lead as the first quarter ended. Each team was able to add another touchdown in a slow moving second quarter as the Red Devils took a 28-12 half time lead.
Red Devil runningbacks Tad Donald and Malik Hall were too elusive for the Wildcats to contain. Donald accounted for four touchdowns on the night, with most coming on long runs.
Quarterback Paul Battles accounted for over 100 yards rushing and a fourth quarter touchdown.On the defensive side of the ball, Red Devils James Thompson and Noah Faircloth stood out with outstanding games.
The undefeated JV Red Devils will take on the Chiefland Indian JV team Sept. 15 at Booster Stadium. Game time is 7 p.m.
