Wolfe, a sixth-grader at Chiefland Middle School, outlasted nine other students at Bronson Middle/High School to win the District Champion title.

Spelling through several tense rounds in front of parents, judges and school officials, Wolfe stepped to the podium, thought for a few seconds, and spelled out his final word with little difficulty.
