 Everyone who knows me understands that the time between Thanksgiving and New Year is my time. I relish the season for so many different reasons and actually anticipate it like a child.

This season took a different turn since Christmas fell on Tuesday. For the first time in many years, I would not be with my Georgia family and friends.

So I began planning a lovely, but quiet, holiday with my husband. Fate had another plan.
