FOWL Book Sale

The Friends of the Williston Library will hold its spring book sale Saturday, March 24 between 8:30-11:30 a.m.

There will also be a table of non-book treasures.

AL Pig Roast

The Sons of the American Legion Post 236 will host a pig roast and membership drive Sunday, March 25 beginning at 2 p.m. to commemorate Vietnam Veterans Memorial Day later in the week on March 29.

Veterans will eat free and all others will pay $8 per plate.

The post is located at 9550 Alt. 27, Bronson.

Meet and Greet with the Author

The Williston FFA and Friends of the Williston Library will host a Meet and Greet with author Debra Segal at 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 18 at the Williston Middle High School Ag Department, 350 Robert Philpot Way. Those attending should enter from Hwy. 41 and follow the signs.

Segal will discuss her book, Idylwild Cowgirls and how to publish your novel. Light refreshments will be served.

Fashion Show

The Williston Woman's Club will hold its April Runway Fashion Show and Luncheon at 11 a.m. Friday, April 27 and Saturday, April 28 at the club, located at 1049 NE 6th Blvd., Williston.

The cost is $25 and all proceeds will benefit the scholarship fund.

Fashions are from Janet Carr Accessories and More of Sarasota. You may take your purchases home the same day.

Pick Up a Williston Map

The Williston Chamber of Commerce has updated city maps as part of its ongoing effort to assist tourists and newcomers to the eastern part of Levy County.

The maps include updated streets, roads and information for Williston and the surrounding area, including the Highlands and Bronson.

The maps are free and available at the Chamber from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday through Friday at 607 SW 1st Ave. For more information, call 528-5552.

DAV Needs Members

The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) is looking for disabled veterans to join the organization.

It meets the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 p. m. at Beef O’Brady’s, 7050 NW 140th St., Chiefland.

American Legion Bingo

American Legion Post 236 of Bronson holds Bingo every Monday at 6 p.m.

Bring a friend and come join in the fun at the doublewide at 9550 Hwy 27 Alt toward Williston on the right hand side. Handicap parking is in the rear of the building.

Music With Ms. Sarah

Ms. Sarah's Music Program for Pre-Schoolers continues at the Williston Public Library every Wednesday from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

The library is located at 10 SE 1st St., Williston.

Mobile Food Pantry

The second Thursday of each month there will be a mobile pantry sponsored by From the Heart Ministry at Kirby Family Farm, 19650 NE 30 St., Williston, beginning at 11:30 a.m. All are welcome.

Square Dance Class/Dance

Clover Squares' dance now begins at 2 p.m. and the class at 4 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 213 W. Noble Ave., Williston.

Admission is free for students from age 10 to 18. A low cost supper will be available after the dance.

Tri-County Pregnancy Center

Tri-County Pregnancy Center has phased out walk-ins at the Williston center.  Please call for an appointment.  The center is open Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

A non-profit organization, Tri-County Pregnancy Center exists to help women who are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy with emotional and practical assistance.  All of the services are free.

Lions Club Meeting

The Williston Lions Club meets on the first Monday of every month at 6 p.m. at the clubhouse, 401 SE 6th Ave., Williston.

• Fridays: The Children’s Table is at the Club from 2 to 4:30 p.m.

• Thursdays: Bingo at the Club at 2 p.m. and again at 6 p.m. Bring a new friend or canned goods for free cards.

• Every Friday through Sunday 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. Indoor Flea Market/ Thrift Store. Vendors can set up outside for free.

Offering FREE Eyesight Screenings for adults and children over 7.

Williston Junior Horseman’s Club

The Junior Horseman’s Club invites all children ages 5-17 years to participate in a fun, mounted horse club. The club offers bi-monthly mounted meetings, introductions to a wide variety of disciplines, trail rides, games, mini clinics, hippology, field trips and much more.Meetings are every other Tuesday from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Williston Horse Park.
