Buy a Paver; Honor Veterans

The plan to unveil a veterans’/war memorial in Heritage Park is thousands of dollars away from fruition.

More than $20,000 is needed to erect the lighted memorial that will pay tribute to all branches of the armed forces. To date, less than half of that money has been raised.

The memorial, a project by the Williston Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), will also honor veterans – living and dead – with stone pavers at its base.

For $50 an individual can honor a veteran with a paver/brick that has space available for three lines to recognize the veteran’s service.

For more information, call the Williston Chamber of Commerce at 528-5552 or Carolyn at the Williston Pioneer at 528-3343.
