Buy a Paver; Honor Veterans

The plan to unveil a veterans'/war memorial in Heritage Park is thousands of dollars away from fruition.

More than $20,000 is needed to erect the lighted memorial that will pay tribute to all branches of the armed forces. To date, only about a quarter of that money has been raised.

The memorial, a project by the Williston Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), will also honor veterans – living and dead – with stone pavers at its base.

For $50 an individual can honor a veteran with a paver/brick that  has space available for three lines to recognize the veteran’s service.

For more information, call the Williston Chamber of Commerce at 528-5552 or Carolyn at the Williston Pioneer at 528-3343.
