Gingrich wins Levy GOP primary vote

Mitt Romney may have carried Florida but it was Newt Gingrich who carried Levy County in Tuesday's GOP  presidential primary. But the good news was not in the results, but in the voting itself.

The Levy County Supervisor of Elections website reported — all precincts in — that 3,632 of the county's 8,457 registered    Republicans cast ballots.

That number was music to the ears of County GOP Executive Committee Chair Michelle Finnen.
