Football, basketball camps planned

The annual Williston Red Devil football camp, for players ages 7-14, will be held Thursday, June 12, through Saturday, June 14, from 7:45 a.m. to noon each day behind the high school.

Campers will be taught offensive and defensive fundamentals by the WHS varsity football staff. There will be a punt, kick and throw competition for each age group. Campers will receive a camp t-shirt and snacks/drinks will be provided each day.

An awards ceremony will be held on Saturday, the 14th, at noon.

Shorts, t-shirt and cleats are recommended to be worn but are not required.

The cost is $55. Checks should be made payable to the Williston Quarterback Club.

A notary will be available the first day of camp to complete a liability form.

A boys basketball camp for grade-schoolers will be held at Williston High School from June 16-19.

The morning session, from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday through Thursday, is for current first, second, third and fourth graders.

The afternoon session, from 1-4 p.m., is for current fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth gra-ders. The cost is $40 per camper.

Instructors will include head boys coach David Vespignani and present Williston High School players.

Applications may be picked up in the main office of the high school.
