Festival at airport is Saturday

The city of Williston along with the Williston Area Chamber of Commerce is holding its third annual Williston Airport Recreational Fest & Fly Market.

It will be held on Saturday, March 29, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Rain date will be Sunday, March 30.

Admission is $2 per person and parking is free. No food or backpacks will be allowed. Food will be sold inside the gates. Vendors and Fly-Market dealers will be admitted at 8 a.m. for setup.

The event will be held at the Williston Airport on Southwest 19th Avenue, just off SR 121 South.

This event will feature static displays of airplanes, both old and new, bi planes as well as Cessna 170 plane rides by Lumart Aviation. This annual event also features boats and antique cars and antique tractors as well as Sheriff's Office demonstrations including K-9 demos. The event will include arts, crafts and food vendors as well as entertainment.

This is an affordable family event that features something for everyone.

All classic cars and motorcycles can compete for trophies in several categories and also help to benefit a great cause.

Registration for the competition is $15 and all proceeds will go directly to "Fight Children's Cancer."
