The Williston boy's baseball team hosted the Crystal River Pirates Feb. 23, at the Devils home field.
After downing the Dunnellon Tigers and Citra high school and starting their regular season 2-0, the Red Devils fell to the Pirates 18-5 in six innings.
The offensive-minded Pirates scored in every inning and ended the game early with five runs in the top of the sixth inning.
It all started early for the Pirates as they scored two runs in their first at bat on a lead off single followed by a home run.
