The annual David Moss Memorial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 30 at the Williston Police Department.
This years marks the 25th anniversary of Moss’ death and the Williston Police Department extends an invitation to all persons who wish to attend.
This event has been scheduled for this date because it is the anniversary of his death.
In the future, the police department will incorporate his memorial into the National Police Memorial held annually May 15.
Moss’ story will continue to be the focus of the event but it seemed appropriate to share that recognition with all those other sworn officers who shared in his sacrifice, said Deputy Police Chief Clay Connolly.
The memorial will last about an hour.
