It was the regional semi-finals and the Red Devils’ season ended to a Crescent City Raider team that seemed to want the win more than the Red Devils.

Trailing 16-14 after the first quarter, the Red Devils’ defense, along with poor free throw shooting by the Raiders,  allowed the Red Devils to tie the score at half time at 26-26.

Neither team had more than a six point lead the entire game.

The Red Devils faced a 10-3 disadvantage in foul calls in the third quarter as the Raiders continued to throw up bricks at the free throw line.

Turnovers by the Red Devils and lackluster rebounding kept the game close as the Red Devils managed to take their first lead as the third quarter ended at 37-35.

The Raiders continued to hit the boards hard as the Red Devils found their largest lead of the game at 41-37 with just over five minutes left in the game.

It was the continued pressure from the Raiders and Red Devil turn overs that lifted the Raiders to a 46-43 lead with just over one minute left in the game.

Poor defense by the Red Devils and poor rebounding by the Red Devils let the Raiders run out to a 52-48 win.

Alex Porter led the Red Devils in scoring with 13 points, while Dimarkis Robinson and Keith Hardy both had 8 points in a losing effort.
