Working with the minimum number of the contingent required to complete the city's business - councilmen Jake Cason and Cal Byrd were absent - the Williston City Council tabled two matters which it deemed important enough to require the presence of the full council.
The three remaining councilors completed the remainder of the agenda, listened to an unexpected presentation by a representative of the union that is attempting to organize city employees and voted, with a sharp dissent from council president Debra Jones, to cancel their Dec. 18 meeting.
