Tourist Council Meeting

The Levy County Tourist Development Council will have its regular bi-monthly meeting Thursday, May 26 at 6 p.m at the Levy County Visitors Bureau 620 N. Hathaway Ave., Bronson

AMVETS Open House
AmVets Post 444 in Williston will host an Open House for Memorial Day weekend May 28-30.
Veterans and the public are invited. There will be childrens’ activities and games on Saturday

Bronson FOL
Bronson Friends of the Library will meet Saturday, May 28 at 10 a.m at the Bronson Library.  The group will plan its next book sale for the end of June.

Constitution Pary
The Constitution Party of Marion County will hold an organizational meeting Saturday, June 4 at 6:30 p.m in the meeting room of Lassie’s Diner located at 5068 SE Abshier Blvd. (US Hwy 441), Belleview.
All voters registered in the Constitution Party are urged to attend. All other interested people are welcome to attend.
Guest speaker will be State Party Chairman Bernie DeCastro.

Nimitz Reunion
USS NIMITZ (CVN68) Association 14th Annual Reunion will be held Oct. 26-29 in Pensacola. Come help celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Naval  Aviation.

First Baptist Church of Williston will hold Zumba Fitness classes with two certified Zumba trainers each Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
 Zumba is a new high-energy aerobic routine, includes a little bit of everything.   If you have any questions, please call the church office at 528-4331.

Tornado Relief
Levy County Farm Bureau will be taking donations, through the month of May, for the families affected by the recent tornados in Alabama.
Needed items are bottled water, personal hygiene items, blankets, toys for kids, clothing, non- perishable food items. Cash donations will also be accepted, please make check payable to the Alabama Disaster Relief Fund through Drummond Community Bank. Donations may be delivered to Levy County Farm Bureau located at 312 East Park Ave., Chiefland or 10 SW 7th St., Williston.

Methodist Thrift Store
First United Methodist Church Mission Thrift store is open every Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The store is located at 25 SW 3rd St., Williston.

Mentors Needed
Unity Family Community Center (UFCC) is looking for men and women to become mentors for children of incarcerated parents. UFCC will be hosting mentor training for anyone who wishes to become a mentor. Training will be held 9-11 a.m.

AmVets Post 444, located on Alt-27 just past the BP station on the left side headed toward Bronson, has Bingo every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

Lions Club
The Williston Lions Club hosts Bingo Thursday at 7 p.m., with two jackpots. Bring a friend and get a free game.
The flea market and Farmers’ Market is open Saturday from  8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Meetings are the second Tuesday of each month. Volunteers and new members welcome.
The club is located at 401 SE 6th St., Williston.
