The Gainesville Friends of Jazz will present “An Evening of Latin Jazz” featuring pianist Chuchito Valdes Tuesday, Nov. 30 at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship located at 4225 NW 34th Street in Gainesville.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert begins at 7:30 p.m. The fee is $20 general admission, $15 GFOJ members and $10 Students.

After a loss, coping with the holidays can be hard. Knowing you are not alone in your difficult journey can make all the difference in having a good day or a bad day.
Haven Hospice invites you to attend our Coping with the Holidays after a Loss support program to help you on your journey toward healing.
Please note that date, time and location is subject to change and will be confirmed when you call to register. While the sessions are free, you must register to attend.
The sessions are Dec. 7 and Dec. 14 from 10-11:30 a.m. at Haven Hospice Tri-Counties, 311 N.E. 9 St., Chiefland.

Light Up Williston
The Williston Chamber of COmmerce will hold its annual Light Up Williston festiities Friday Dec. 10 beginning with the parade at 6 p.m.
This year’s theme is “Wild West Christmas.”
After the parade, the celebration continues at the pavilion in Heritage Park with a chili cook-off, music and entertainment.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars at 3107 W. Dunnellon Rd, CR 488, Dunnellon presents: Breakfast, including a massive plate of victuals (10 items), is served the second and fourth Sunday of every month from 8:30 - 11 a.m. at a cost of $6. Florida’s Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program needs volunteers to join its corps of dedicated advocates who protect the rights of elders residing in nursing homes, assisted living facilities and adult family care homes. Special training and certification is provided.
