The Levy County Tourist Development Council will have its bi-monthly meeting Thursday, July 29 at 6 p.m. at the Levy County Visitors Bureau, 620 N. Hathaway Ave., Bronson
The meeting is open to the public.
Sunday, Aug. 1
The Grandpa Poley Reunion will be Sunday, Aug. 1 all day at the Levy County Quilt Musem. Lunch will be served at noon. Please bring food to share.

If you do, come see SHINE, a volunteer program with the Florida Department of Elder Affairs, for one-on-one counseling. SHINE provides free, unbiased and confidential assistance.
If you cannot come to a site call the Elder Helpline at 1-800-262-2243 to be referred to a SHINE
Volunteer. SHINE will be at the Williston Public Library Wednesday, Aug. 4 from 10 a.m. until noon and at the Bronson Public Library from 1:30-3:30 p.m.
Wranglers & Rhinestones
“Wranglers & Rhinestones” Casino Night 2010 has been set for Saturday, Aug. 21 at 7 p.m. at the Williston Highlands Golf & Country Club. This year Casino Night will include casino style gaming, a silent auction, and hors d’oeuvres that Casino Night has become famous for.
So dust off your hat, sharpen your spurs, put on your biggest rhinestones and help the GFWC Williston Junior Woman's Club raise money for the Levy County Schools Foundation to benefit our local schools, teachers, and students. The Humane Society of Levy County, Inc. will meet Aug. 26 at 7 p.m. at Bronson Town Hall in Bronson located at 660 E Hathaway Ave.
The Humane Society of Levy County, Inc. mission is to provide foster care, adoptions and/or the placement of rescued animals that we receive from the local shelters. Donated funds will be used to facilitate the needed care, spay and neuter of rescued pets, and the future health and well being of these animals.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars at 3107 W. Dunnellon Rd, CR 488, Dunnellon presents:
Breakfast, including a massive plate of victuals (10 items), is served the second and fourth Sunday of every month from 8:30 - 11 a.m. at a cost of $6. Open to the public.

Tri-County Pregnancy Center is offering a new program to the community called Birth of a Family, which promotes the strong growth of lasting nuclear households, giving mothers and fathers the foundational tools to build families that stand the test of time.
Clients attend a seven-session course guiding them through principles essential to healthy family relationships. Local volunteers from the Christian faith community are prepared to travel through the seven-session course alongside a client couple, or single, as role models and encouragement.
