The 65th Annual Newberry Watermelon Festival is Saturday, May 15 and organizers are looking for contestants 0-23 years of age for the annual Watermelon Pageant.

WHS 2000 Reunion

Williston High School Class of 2000’s 10-Year Reunion is set for Friday, May 28 at the Holiday Inn & Suites, Ocala from 7-11p.m. Tickets are now on sale. $25 per person/$45 per couple. Please include classmate name and name of spouse/guest.

Chiefland Watermelon Festival

Catergories and criteria are:

Little King and Queen:  Ages 3-5 as of June 5, 2010

Little Princess:  Age:  6-10-you must have completed 1st grade 

Princess:  Age:  11-15-you must have completed the 6th grade 

Queen:  Age 16-22



The SHARE Florida Food Networkannounces it 2010 registration and distribution dates. Registration times are 1-3 p.m. and pick up times are 9-10 a.m. Both take place at Cornerstone Assembly of God.

Farmers’ Market

The Williston Lions Club will open their Farmers’ Market Saturday through December and hold Bingo every Friday at 7 p.m.
