Fall is in the air at Morriston Baptist Church. The church will hold its annual community-wide Fall Festival and Fish Fry on Saturday, Oct. 30. Festivities begin at 4 p.m. with over 15 carnival booths including a clown jump house, bungee run, joust, basketball toss, dunking booth and the always popular cake walk. Over 500 people attended last year and the church is preparing for an even better turn-out.
“We invite everyone to attend,” said Pastor Keith Stewart. “It’s a great way to spend a fall afternoon with your family. We’ll have plenty to eat and and lots of entertainment for all.”
The purpose of the church’s Fall Festival is food and fellowship. But it’s also a way for Morriston Baptist to introduce some of its choices for families. These include an early morning contemporary praise and worship service on Sundays at 8:30 a.m.; a Kids Club for kindergartners thru 5th graders Sunday at 7 p.m.; three different weekly gatherings for teenagers and a “Family Table” evening meal Wednsday at 6 p.m. just prior to “Ask the Pastor” Bible study.
“We are striving to give folks of all ages a lot of new choices for their Christian walk. We hope folks will stop by the Fall Festival for some food and fun, plus learn more about what our church has to offer.”
