Holy Family Catholic Church
Holy Family will hold its monthly yard sale Feb. 4 from 8 a.m. -1 p.m.
Space rental is $5 each for table, space or tent. You can bring your own table/tent. Vendors are welcome.

Angel House Thrift Store at Holy Family Catholic Church, located three miles north of Williston on Hwy 27A is open Friday and Saturday from 9 am until 1 p.m. every weekend.
Holy Family Catholic Church will host its Fish Dinner Friday, Feb. 10 from 5-7 p.m. at the parish hall, located three miles north of Williston on Hwy 27A.
Choose from fried or baked fish, along with french fries, hushpuppies, drinks, dessert and your choice of two sides of baked beans, coleslaw, or grits will be served.
Adult meals are $7, children under 12 eat for $4. Senior portions, which are smaller, are available.
Take out orders welcome.
Holy Family Catholic Church invites the community to share a Lite Lunch Wednesday, Feb. 15 from 12 to 1:30 p.m. in the parish hall.
Everyone is welcome and there is no charge or obligation of any kind.
St. John the Baptist Catholic
St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, located on the corner of U.S. 41 and Hwy. 40 East in Dunnellon, holds a fish fry on the first Friday of each month, the next one being Feb. 3. The cost is $7 for adults and students and children 6 - 12 is $3.50. The fish fry is open to the public and is held in the church pavilion.
The Altar and Rosary Society of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church will host a Chinese Auction Saturday, Feb. 4 in Father Stegeman Hall, located at the corner of U.S. 41 and Hwy. 40 East in Dunnellon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Drawing for the items will begin at 1 p.m. An envelope of 20 tickets is $5 and can be purchased at the door.
Also included is a free ticket for coffee and dessert. Food and drinks will be available at a nominal charge.

St. John the Baptist Catholic Church will host a meatless Soup-A-Thon contest Ash Wednesday, Feb. 22 .
Entry forms are available in the church office or by calling Carmen at 489-2597 or John at 489-1611.
Prizes will be awarded for the top three winners. Those wanting to sample the soups, along with crackers and bread, can do so by arriving at the church hall at 12:45 located at 7525 U.S. Hwy. 41 in Dunnellon.
Tickets are a $5 donation for all-you-can-eat. Ballots will be provided for judging soups. Entries and soup sampling is open to the public.
Morriston Baptist Church
Recording artist Wade Hammond will perform during the 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. services at Morriston Baptist Church Sunday, Feb. 5.
Hammond is an award-winning Christian singer/songwriter whose music can be heard on Christian and Country radio stations as well as XM radio. A love offering will be taken to support Hammond’s nationwide ministry.
Morriston Baptist Church is located one-half mile east of the Morriston Post Office on County Road 326/323.

The Lenten Season is soon approaching. On Tuesday, Feb. 21 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m, Joy Evangelical Lutheran Church will celebrate Shrove Tuesday (the English name for the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday) with a Pancake Supper in Swenson Hall. Plan to drop in anytime between these hours to enjoy pancakes and sausage. A freewill offering will be taken.
Feb. 22 is Ash Wednesday and worship service will be at 6:45 p.m. The Wednesday night Lenten Services theme will be “Dark Nights of the Soul.” Senior Pastor Edward Holloway Jr. will provide the messages on such topics as Alone in Sin, Lonely, Cold, Breathless, Lost, In Pain, and Alone-Again. A Soup Supper will precede the Wednesday night Lenten services at 5:30 p.m.
The theme for the Sunday services in Lent (8:15 and 11 a.m.) will be “A Journey from Fear to Love.” Pastor Holloway’s messages will be on Fear of the World, Fear of My Own Way, Fear of God, Fear of the Holy Spirit and Fear of Light.
