CFCC has continuing education courses

The Central Florida Community College Levy Center in Chiefland has received the new July-December 2009 Continuing Education schedules. Please stop by the center at 114 Rodgers Blvd. to pick up your free copy. Schedules are also available at the libraries in Levy County.

The following classes begin in July:

· Beginning Ceramics Handbuilding introduces students to the fundamentals of using clay as an art medium and to the techniques of constructing clay structures. Classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, July 7-23, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. The course fee is $75. Materials, supplies and firing services may be purchased directly from the instructor.

· Computer Fundamentals I is a course for those with little or no experience with personal computers. Students will learn how to use the mouse and keyboard, how to create, save and modify documents, and how to work with files. The six-week course will meet from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m. on Mondays beginning July 13. The course fee of $76 includes the textbook.
