Catching up on a few things:

PAYING FOR ACCIDENTS: A few weeks ago we had an interesting discussion in Williston about having accident victims pay for the cost of having police answer the calls. That drew a large outcry from city folks who say they already pay through taxes, and also from those who might not be at fault in the accidents.

Last week out of the Ocala City Council meeting came a plan that addresses both of those concerns.

Ocala is working with the company Cost Recovery to recover the costs of police response to accidents, taking into account the complaints listed above.
