Fans at Bronson Speedway saw 14-year-old Cassie Lozier of Cedar Key win her first Strictly Stock Feature Event Sat night. Lozier who started outside pole, is the youngest competitor to strap into a Strictly Stock at Bronson Speedway.

Lozier started outside pole and at the drop of the green Lozier jumped to the lead. While the field behind her battled for position Lozier used that time to build close to an 8 car length lead on the field running a perfect line around the high banked oval.

On lap 7 the yellow would come out for Lovvorn and Friar who had mechanical woes and would retire to the pits. Lozier would restart on the pole with Tommy Ausburn Jr outside, Robert Oneail in 3rd and Lonnie Hinote in 4th.

The 2 front rows had some fierce competition but Lozier was perfect on the restart and was able to maintain the lead the whole time having a mirror full of the competition wanting her piece of real estate.

On lap 13 the yellow would come out yet again for the other female driver Tricia Turner in the lady bug #5. This time Lozier would have point leader Ron Klys outside pole, Oneail 3rd and Ausburn Jr 4th. Lozier would again have a perfect restart and go on to win the event to the roar of the crowd.

In victory lane, when Lozier exited the car, the smile on her face and the gleem in her eyes said it all. She gave thanks to all who have supported her racing efforts. Klys, Oneail and Ausburn Jr. were very  impressed with Lozier's ability to drive that perfect line, be exceptional on the restarts, and maintain her composure.

Competitor Liaison "Pork Chop" Wilson presented Lozier with a $100.00 bill in victory lane. Quickly stuffing the bill in her red firesuit pocket Lozier thanked "Pork Chop" Wilson with a teenage gleaming smile. Wilson related to owner Ann Young  "that smile and that excitement is what this sport is all about". These young drivers will carry on the legacy of our sport.
