BOCC cuts $2 million from budget

The Levy County Commission, displeased that its “cut your budget requests” went unheeded,  went line by line over the proposals and cut them.
In the end, the board removed more than $2 million in proposed expenditures for the fiscal year starting Oct. 1.  Chief among the targets were items where the same amount of dollars were requested for three years but was never spent.
