The Williston Red Devils defeated Lake Weir, 11-10, Wednesday night to reach the finals of the Red Devil Challenge.

Williston will play Dunnellon tonight at 7. The Tigers swept through their half of the bracket unbeaten, as did Williston.

In the tournament, the Red Devils won their first two games, knocking off P.K. Yonge, 8-7, and beating Gainesville, 17-14.

Last week, Williston defeated Bronson High School 15-0 in five innings on Thursday night. Williston used its eyes and bodies to beat the Eagles. The Red Devils received 13 free passes (mostly free, some were of the painful hit-by-pitch variety).

Williston took advantage of the walks and scored three runs in the first inning, six runs in the second and another six runs in the third inning.

Williston pitcher Brent Stegall dominated the Bronson hitters, pitching three hitless innings while striking out six batters, and Charlie Hilton pitched the last two frames to close out the game.
